An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technical Manager to join a successful chilled food manufacturer in Suffolk
This role, reporting to the Factory Manager will be responsible for technical and quality assurance throughout the organisation.
The Key Roles and Responsibilities for this role should include the following:
· Implementing and maintaining BRC standards throughout the business, ensuring the Quality Management System and Quality Manual is up to date.
· Implement strategies so that all processes and procedures meet and exceed minimum legislative standards.
· Carry out audits, ensuring that improvement strategies are having a measured success, and reporting the information to the board of managers.
· Acting as the technical representative for the company: educate, Inform and advise on any issues in relation to food safety, hygiene and quality
· Liase with external bodies e.g. BRC, FSA
· To ensure a high quality of hygiene is maintained on both night and day shifts.
· Implement and maintain a supplier auditing programme
The Ideal Candidate will match the following criteria:
· HND, equivalent or higher in a Food related discipline
· Experience within a Technical Managers role
· 10 years within a Food environment
· In depth knowledge of food safety and hygiene and current legislation
· IT Literate
· Excellent Interpersonal Skills
