Technical Manager Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire £40000 to £70000 per annum Permanent jobs Updated 17/11/2009 21:14 Job Role The purpose of the role To provide technical advice and support to internal and external clients in relation to audit issues. This will include: - Conduct hot reviews of files before the audit reports are signed.
- Conduct cold reviews for each office on an annual basis each spring. i.e. quality control review of audit files which have been signed off
- Head up a telephone hotline which provides technical Audit advice for all MH offices and external subscribers
- Preparation of technical bulletins on relevant topics such as accounting standards, money laundering regulations etc.
- Visit offices annually to conduct audit and investment business compliance reviews.
- Check and maintain technical material such as Disclosure check
Ideal candidates will be ACA / ACCA qualified with previous experience in a technical audit role in a practice environment. You will have up to date CPE training with sound knowledge of accounting standards, money laundering laws, legal updates etc. You will need a good knowledge of OMB's across a broad range of industries. You will need to be highly organised with good organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
