Technical Projects Manager
Nottingham | £Competitive + Bonus
Experian Business Strategies division is seeking a Technical Projects Manager to co-ordinate technology integration and configuration projects between DDS, Experian Business Strategies UK Trading Business and Experian Global Technology Services (GTS). The Marketing Services Group, Global Product Development & Delivery, Data and Distribution Systems (DDS) group is responsible for the development and delivery of data-based products and solutions which are sold by the Marketing Services Group division on a global basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for project managing the implementation and configuration of hardware to support our array of Globally focused Internet based data distribution platforms, and will manage the full lifecycle of projects from inception through to handover to the client support team. You will also act as the key liaison between the development team and GTS on a daily basis.
Your responsibilities:
- Design, plan and manage the delivery of projects in line with established procedures, timescales, costs and quality standards;
- Maintain a current understanding of the key business priorities to ensure the correct focus is applied across simultaneously running projects with support from the Programme Manager;
- Maintain a detailed register for all technical projects at the various stages in the project lifecycle;
- Remotely co-ordinate project teams across multiple locations;
- Control the scope of the project and re-negotiate where necessary;
- Identify and resolve/escalate issues appropriately;
- Compile and submit project status reports to project stakeholders and DDS management team;
- Act as key day to day liaison for DDS and GTS and help manage the relationships with support from DDS Management team;
- Direct management of all GTS work requests which are placed by DDS and the Business Strategies UK trading division;.
- Project management and technical solution support to the DDS Programme Management Office;
- Management of the DDS Sharepoint sites;
- Review/Approval of all GTS Change Orders which are requested of Business Strategies change approvers;
- Continued maintenance of the DDS Server estate register (list of all Server Hardware) to support issue resolution, capacity/configuration management and essential hardware maintenance activities
About you:
You will be able to prove your experience in successfully managing projects in technical environments and a recognised project management qualification would be beneficial. As part of your previous experience you will have developed knowledge of Desktop and Server based Hardware, Networks and Operating Systems and gained an awareness of ITIL service management techniques and principals.
You will demonstrate a solid understanding of project parameters, incorporating; scope, time, cost, risk etc. and the necessary attention to documentation, quality standards, reporting and measurements. As well as your technical knowledge, every day will require that your communication and interpersonal skills are exercised to establish good project stakeholder relationships throughout all levels of the businsess, and your organised and accurate approach to projects will enable you to work to the strict deadlines and manage priorities effectively.
