Due to continued success there is now the need for an Area Sales Manager to cover the London / M25 area etc. You will need to live in London or surrounding counties e.g Essex, Hertfordshire, Berkshire, Surrey. It essential for this role that you live "on patch" i.e. within the geographical territory you will be covering and have a full driving license. You will be working within the Dealer Sales team and developing the clients current customers to increase spend and focussing on identifying and developing new prospects. You will be selling a broad range of telecoms and data products e.g. headsets, radio / paging / mobile / telephony. This is a home based field sales role (occasionally you will need to go to the Manchester head office for sales meetings / training etc), you will need to achieve and exceed all agreed sales targets and performance measures. You must also have the desire and ability to proactively target new business and seek additional revenue streams. For this role it is essential to have a minimum of two years experience in business to business field sales in a "new business" and account management role ideally within the telecommunications industry.
To be successful in this role you will need to be business focused, results driven, committed, responsive to coaching and self development and adaptable to change. You must have proven experience of field sales in a business to business environment with demonstrable success of account management and new business generation. You will be well presented, have excellent communication skills, be positive and professional. The successful candidate must be comfortable selling face to face at management and director level and be able to build long term positive business relationships. To fulfil the role you will need to be responsive to coaching and self development and adaptable to change. You must be a self starter and be able to manage your own time.
