The company offers a multi-disciplinary consultancy service to the private and public sector, and has won many large scale infrastructural projects. It is involved in the areas such as Traffic, Transport and Transport Telecommunications. This particular vacancy is for a Telecommunications Engineer in the operation close to Leeds in the UK. Joining this firm will ensure an exciting and rewarding career within a well established and growing company.
Responsibilities:
You will be a key player in the Transportation team which has an impressive project and client portfolio and works very closely as an effective team environment.
Your role will involve co-ordination and collaboration with key clients including the Highways Agency and Technology Contractors.
You will be utilising pioneering expertise in this field. The aim is to deliver innovative traffic communications solutions using the latest technology to make significant improvements to major highway networks within the UK.
Requirements:
Background within traffic and transport and experience of working with some of the technology utilised in this field is essential.
We would need to demonstrate some knowledge of Highway Agency procedures, ITS technology systems (NMCS), VMS, MIDAS and CCTV and have experience in design and implementation of motorway communications infrastructure.
Ideally you will have a degree or relevant qualification in civil or electrical engineering, you should be Chartered or working towards Chartered status.
