The Opportunity
Leading a team of internal sales professionals, your role will be to motivate and manage the team as well personally generate appointments for the field sales consultants to go and visit clients (in schools, colleges and businesses) interested in the company's Audio Visual solutions- whether buying a new projector or installing an entire video conferencing suite. There will be a combination of account management and new business development in this role, involving extensive cold calling, objection handling and closing the prospect to arrange a meeting for the field sales consultant. You will also use your time talking with customers to fact find about their requirements, passing on this information to help field sales prepare for the meeting. You will work closely with the National Sales Manager to set team and individual targets and then ensure that these are achieved by you and your team. You will monitor the teams activity for quality and quantity, lead by example and consistently demonstrate excellent sales skills and a strong work ethic. Your Skills, Qualities and Achievements
Must be an accomplished business to business telesales executive, preferably with telesales supervision/management experience. Ideally you will have experience of selling to the education sector. Experience of selling Audio Visual products and solutions over the telephone would be ideal, working alongside field sales executives, booking sales meetings. Must have experience of setting targets for an internal sales team, both activity and revenue based. Knowledge of video conferencing, boardroom and classroom AV solutions, digital signage and projectors, or similar IT/technical sales is essential. To succeed in this role, you must be extremely determined and resilient, with excellent people skills and the ability to influence customers and members of your team.
