Test & Development Engineer, Wiltshire A permanent position has become available for a Test & Development Engineer within a well-established engineering company in Wiltshire. To be considered for this role, you must have the following (Essential): High Grade Engineering Degree (or higher), ideally with a particular focus on engineering physics and mathematics. Excellent understanding of Mechanical Sciences. Analysis test data, High level of Excel required. The willingness to be hands on and carry out other a range of tasks, if required. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Design Work:
Good understanding of Solidworks CAD, or similar. Mechanical Design of test rigs for testing products. Analysis Work: Understanding of FEA (plus CFD desirable). Excellent understanding of Mechanical Sciences. Analysis test data, high level of Excel required. Produce reports from data gathered from tests. Produce design codes (usually Excel) from results of tests. Test Rig: Produce suitable test plans and manage projects. Ability to build and shake-down & calibration of test rigs and instruments. Operation of test rig. Installation of electrical/electronic components, in relation to the control and instrumentation of the test rig. Write software for data acquisition systems in the test rig. Manufacturing: A good understanding of manufacturing and material processes, to enable manufacturing routes to be generated, often prototype, test hardware, or sub-scale components. Design of appropriate tooling. You will be working at 37 hour week (9am-5:30pm, hour for lunch) and will be paid an attractive salary package.
