This leading international engineering and construction group is currently seeking a specialist in Traffic Safety and Control to join their team based in Essex. This position will ensure the safe running of the traffic management scheme for a major highways infrastructure project.

As a Traffic Safety and Control Officer, you will actively liaise with the highways agency, local council, emergency services and other relevant bodies to ensure the continued success of the traffic management scheme. This will involve the preparation of daily road orders for maintenance, actions for adverse weather (grit etc), regular inspection of signage, maintenance of a controls log, management of external contractors (recovery, maintenance etc), review of risk assessments and accurate maintenance of a daily site diary covering all works.

The successful candidate MUST possess;

  • Detailed experience of traffic management
  • Sector Scheme approval
  • Relevant CSCS accreditation
  • Appropriate HSE management training
  • Relevant qualifications
