Trainee Telesales / Business Development Manchester £15 - 19k + commission OTE first year £37 - £41,000
Are you a confident, friendly and enthusiastic person with great communication skills? Are you interested in developing your career in sales in a professional environment (not a "call centre").
This is a professional telesales job, where you are taught the nuances of high level sales. You are not expected to work from a script or an automatic dialler. you will be talking to business people in business hours (this is a 9 - 5.30 job - no evenings or weekends).
You will need the ability to take in a lot of information quickly and then use your research skills to improve your knowledge of the "product" and the potential market for that product.
You will move to a new project every 6 - 8 weeks, so the ability to be adaptable and quickly get your head around new info is important.
Most important will be your fearless nature - we need people who are not scared of a challenge, are confident to speak to senior decision makers in the provate and public sector and who are absolutely determined to achieve their targets.
Any experience of setting yourself challenging goals and achieving them, of public speaking / presentations / telesales / telephone based research or telemarketing would be an advantage - but key will be your people skills. You may have worked in a customer facing role, or a customer support role,. but you will definitely be someone who is friendly, professional, empathic and can persuade people without appearing too "pushy".
