Trainer / Training Officer (Retail) West Midlands £22K
Position: Front of House Trainer
Location: Wolverhampton, West Midlands (willing to see candidates within in a 2 hour commute)
Salary: £18-22K Depending on experience
Benefits: Includes health cover, pension, a minimum of 28 days holiday and generous mileage allowance
CLIENT:
Our client manages over 500 pubs nationwide, employing 10,000+ staff. The successful training and development of their employees is essential to ensure their staff run great pubs and can deliver first class service and standards to customers.
ROLE:
This role includes delivering front of house training for our clients vigorous new builds and major refurbishments programme, along side developing their people through our clients Career Path. This role will include running courses and workshops, as well as supporting the ongoing review and enhancement of their programmes.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
a) Responsible for delivering pre & post opening training on new build and existing pubs
b) Deliver training workshops and courses supporting the development of Retail Staff through our Induction and development programmes
c) Run bespoke training in pubs to help support a Retail Managers development of their team in a variety of areas including speed of service, standards, complaint handling, and product knowledge
d) Coach & develop Retail Managers knowledge in our Induction, NVQ`s and Retail Staff development programmes
e) Run short training sessions to Retail Managers at Area Meetings
f) Write and create new materials for workshops, workbooks and courses
ESSENTIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
a) Previous experience of delivering training to small and large groups within the retail sector is essential.
b) The attainment of a training qualification would be an advantage
c) A self motivated team player that is able to demonstrate drive, passion and professionalism.
d) Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
e) Able to write short training sessions.
f) Will understand that the nature of the role involves regular weekend and evening work.
g) The ability to travel extensively throughout our pub estate, with own transport, is essential given that this position will involve delivering training across a wide selection of pubs.
h) Will live within 2 hours of Wolverhampton, or willing to relocate.
