Job Description
Our client is an independent online travel agent, selling a range of worldwide holidays, and is looking to recruit Travel Sales Consultants.
The main responsibility of the role, based in Surrey, is to advise on and then sell a range of worldwide holidays and ancillaries from major tour operators and smaller specialists over the telephone to ensure maximum sales and targets are achieved.
This is an exciting opportunity for travel professionals to join an expanding company selling a variety of holiday products. Applications are welcomed from candidates with a background in travel sales and a strong customer service focus.
Candidate Requirements
Proven sales track record gained in a travel agent/tour operator background
Excellent sales and closing ability with experience working to targets
IT literate
Experience of using Viewdata
TravelCat experience would be an advantage
Ability to identify and act on upselling opportunities
Qualities Required
Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise effectively at all levels
Positive and professional telephone manner
Able to work as part of a team as well as unsupervised
Punctual and willing to work shifts and weekends
Well organised with a strong customer service ethic
Ability to work under pressure and to targets
Strong customer service focus
Remuneration and Hours of Work
Competitive base from £12,000 to £16,695 dependant on experience plus OTE
Evenings and weekends on a rota basis
Opening hours are Monday to Saturday 8am to 10pm and Sunday 9am to 9pm
