Job Role

Reporting into the VAT Partner, my Client requires a VAT Assistant Manager.

The role involves:
- Maintaining and developing strong relationships with clients.
- Ensuring clients are provided with up to date information on indirect tax developments.
- Helping to advise clients on all indirect tax issues.
- Contributing to client service teams, helping ensure they function smoothly and effectively.
- Preparing all advice for manager review prior to sending to the client.
- Aiding the development of other junior members of the team and sharing knowledge more generally on VAT technical issues.

This is an ideal role for someone who is looking to move from the HMRC into Practice.
The candidate should have a proven track record with VAT gained in a professional firm, the HMRC or from working with a corporate organisation.
- A professional qualification such as ATT, CTA or AIIT, would be beneficial
- The ability to deliver on projects within tight deadlines.
- The ability to develop relationships both internally and externally.
- Good interpersonal skills.
