Job DescriptionSolutions Developer - VB.Net, Visual Studio 2005 or 8, SQL Server
Working as a sole agent to my client, a company based in Enfield, North London, we urgently require a Solutions Developer with 1-2 years of programming windows forms applications in .Net (preferably VB.Net) in either Visual Studio 2005 or 2008 together with a good knowledge of SQL Server for my clients Process Analysis & Application Development team.
The company are willing to consider other .Net application experience although the succesful candidate would be limited to using for exaample C#.Net / ASP.Net etc and therefore, would need to convert to mostly using VB.net.
An understanding of HTML, XML, XSLT, CSS and JavaScript would be an advantage.
The team mainly build Desktop Applications using Windows Forms and are about to start with VS2008 so it would be a bonus if the person has any experience of WPF and WCF.
This knowledge will assist in the development of applications to be used in the UK and other EMEA operations.
Following continued business growth and resultant demands on the Solutions and Development team we are seeking an additional industry professional to join this specialist group.
The Solutions and Development team provide services and technological solutions to all disciplines, primarily the Operational network, with a focus on improved service delivery and productivity gain.
The main goals are to streamline processes, integrate 3rd party systems and content, react to industry changes, meet client specific requirements, support existing applications with the aim of reducing costs and maintaining or improving the front line productivity and quality of service.
The position may involve working as part of a wider European group and the successful candidate should be prepared to occasionally travel within the European region.
