Our UK Web Solutions Group is a team of c. 160+ staff who look after the ongoing development of our online portfolio and as part of our continuing growth and evolution within the online media sector we are expanding our team significantly, including three additional architecture staff. As a Web Solutions Architect you will take a leading role in the Web Solutions Group projects and in the creation of innovative enterprise class technical solutions for a given set of business requirements. The role requires working with other solutions architects, the senior solutions architect and other architectural functions to define and evolve a consistent architectural approach for the business. Required skills / experience -Proven and extensive experience working as a Web Solutions Architect within a large corporate / enterprise scale environment -Experience of leading teams of <5 staff -Exceptional knowledge in architecting high performance, high availability websites with MS .Net -Exceptional knowledge in all aspects of the following technologies with a proven track record of using it successfully within a Microsoft web development environment: C# / ASP.Net (3.5) / SQL Server (SSRS, SSAS and SSIS) / Web Service Development (WCF/SOAP) including SOA and REST / Web technologies HTML/XHTML / XML/XSLT -Strong software design skills with an in-depth knowledge of using Object or Component based design techniques including Patterns. -UML and full lifecycle experience on an OO language. -Thorough understanding of the security and performance implications associated with Web technologies. -Strong analytical skills with a proven track record of successful solution delivery. -Strong influencing and negotiation skills with experience working at all levels within an organisation up to board level. The role will be based in our Sutton (Surrey/South London) head office and is offered on a permanent/full-time basis.
