WELDER – TEAM LEADER (WELDING)

Proactive Personnel is pleased to be representing their client, a market leader in the manufacture of automotive products. They are currently seeking to recruit a Team Leader with previous manufacturing experience – ideally from an automotive environment.
THE TEAM LEADER (WELDING)
- Supervision and assessment of production teams and individuals
- Meeting production KPI targets for Quality, Cost, Delivery and Safety.
- Continually review data and processes to identify and implement improvements
- Initiating the daily activates and being the first point of contact for around 20 – 30 members of staff
- Ensure procedures and policies are followed as per company handbook
- Ensure hazards are identified and removed from the working environment
- Ensuring that operators follow safe and efficient working practices and ensure Health and Safety requirements are fulfilled.

THE SUCCESSFUL TEAM LEADER (WELDING)
- The ideal candidate will have prior experience of working as a team leader in a welding department or fast paced production environment.
- Ideally for this role the candidate should posses some form of team leaders qualification.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement and lean manufacturing techniques (5C’s/5C’s etc) would also be highly desirable
- Experience in effectively leading teams
- Effective communicator
- Problem solving skills
- Good decision making ability, analytical systematic approach
- Flexible approach to work.
