Our client is looking for a dynamic, self-motivated individual with experience and skills in web content strategy and management, writing and editing for the web and site management.
The website content manager will be responsible developing the voice for all aspects of the organization's online presence. In addition to planning, editing, and proofreading site content, this person will also work closely with the technical team to provide content-related input to any future functionality requirements.
The content manager will work closely with the scientific, communications and business development areas of the organization, so strong communication skills are needed.
Responsibilities
· Review current site content and develop Content Strategy to improve the quality and effectiveness of content on the client site
· Work with science teams to develop a web content development calendar
· Manage the content production process liaising with content providers
· Manage the development and implementation of web content policy, procedures and standards
· Ensure consistent 'tone' for web content throughout the site
· Develop Key Performance Indicators relating to website content and report on performance
· Work with web team to develop training & support materials for content providers
· Review Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) performance of the site and delive
Required skills
· Experience managing content and production for high traffic websites
· Experience of working with Content management Systems (CMS) and keen understanding of the underlying concepts of content management and website development
· Exceptional communication and organisational skills
· Proven ability to build consensus with multiple stakeholders and work effectively within a cross-departmental team
This position is a 1-year contract.
