Our client is a luxury travel organisation based in Oxfordshire, and a highly reputable and successful organisation.They are looking for an experienced and skilled Web Designer/Developer to join their team in this technical role. The purpose of the position will be to work on the design and technical development of the company portfolio of websites.
The main responsibilities will involve:
·Constantly assessing how the websites perform and how they can be approved functionally, technically and visually;
·Producing schematics/wireframes at design stage to visualise concepts and gain consensus from other team members;
·Documenting any new systems or processes developed;
·Ensuring all code produced is technically optimised regarding speed and size;
·Producing tidy, standards compliant and well documented code.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated self-starter with a flair for innovation who is looking to push the boundaries of web design and development.You will possess demonstrable experience of previous public-facing work showing a high level of design and a thorough understanding of website usability.
You must have a real passion for the work this role will entail, and previous experience of working a .NET based Content Management system would be ideal.You will be experienced in the following:Hand-coded CSS/XHTML; ASP.NET (2.0+ C#); JavaScript; AJAX; Visual Studio 2008; SQL and Photoshop/Fireworks or similar.
