An opportunity is available for a talented web applications developer to join a market leading UK Travel company to work on a number of high ranking e-commerce travel websites.
What You'll Be Doing
As part of the web development team, you will be helping to build new websites, web applications and back office systems. You will have the opportunity to contribute your own project ideas and suggestions for improvements. The current websites and applications are developed using Visual Studio 2008, VB.NET and Microsoft SQL 2005.
The candidate must also have excellent communication and time management skills with a strong ability to communicate in both technical and non-technical environments. The candidate must also demonstrate the ability to meet deadlines, work in a fast paced environment and have a desire to learn.
What We're Looking For
Candidates should have recent commercial experience or able to demonstrate their ability with the following:
- ASP.NET
- VB.NET or C#.NET
- Object Oriented Design
- X-HTML
- CSS
- SQL Server
- Stored Procedures
- Database Design
The following skills are desirable for this role but not essential:
- Agile Development

- Database performance optimization
