Our client is looking for a Senior Web Developer to join their company in Ely. This position requires the successful candidate to be client facing, confident at presenting solutions using non technical language to Marketing Managers and Directors etc..
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills –
E-commerce/ Web Development
Proven experience in developing e-commerce solutions using any development platform.
Good understanding of external integrations such as payment engines.
OOP an advantage
In depth understanding of w3c standards for xhtml and css
Good understanding of cross browser differences
It would also be useful if the ideal candidate had some experience in the following –Smarty - Experience using and extending the Smarty template engine
JavaScript -Good understanding of JavaScript and the jQuery library
SEO -Understanding of the principles involved and how to design effective sites to take advantage of Search Engines.
MVC - Experience of any of the leading PHP MVC frameworks such as CakePHP.
Start: ASAP
Location: Ely
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8 – 5.30
Salary: £20-£30,000 plus attractive pay review structure
