Excellent role for a Web Manager / Web Strategist. Our client publishes business intelligence reports and assessments in the energy, power, petroleum and emissions markets. This is a fast moving, rapidly changing environment with plenty of challenges; this is a private British Ltd company with a 40 year track record and 8 global offices, who are going from strength to strength.
As Web Manager you will develop a strategy for their website, to ensure that the site is attractive to visitors, meets best practice guidelines, delivers useful relevant content, provides a good impression of the company and generates plenty of marketing leads.
The role:
Carry out a full audit of the website, consult internally as to deliverables, design and content expected from the site, review competitor websites an draw up blueprints for change together with an implementation timetable and project plan. This will include navigation, design, updating procedures and technology (eg CMS), content and tracking and will enable you to deliver a radically upgraded and improved site. Once the revamp has been completed, you will create style guidelines for contributors, oversee content changes and new features, constantly review navigation, content and design, monitor competitors and develop guidelines for the company's regional and international sites.
Your background:
You will have experience of developing and implementing on line strategies in a B2B environment. and should have excellent knowledge of SEO, web development software, content management systems and the components of good design. You should be an accomplished web project manager, used to gathering internal and external feedback and building an action plan, with excellent communication skills and experience of dealing with external agencies. Your technical skills will include HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript and web authoring packages, and ideally you will have experience of Perl and know how to work with dynamic data and database driven websites. You should be familiar with tracking and analytical packages such as Google Analytics and have experience of using these to measure performance and make amendments. You should also be highly innovative and creative with a great eye for detail!
