My client is a rapidly growing UK based insurance company. With a complete business model based online with a plan in place to lead the market in website sales and service. To achieve this they are recruiting for integral members of staff to drive the business forward. They have an opening for a Website Manager / Interaction Designer to join their existing online development team. Their new offices are based in Surrey which is commutable from Waterloo with road links to the A3/M25.
Working within their E-Commerce team this is an exceptional opportunity to work on cutting-edge web experience/user interface design within a rapidly growing company in which your efforts will have a direct impact with real results.
Your work will focus primarily on management and development of new digital services.
Supporting their existing Website Manager you will:
Role
- Develop and deliver online customer experience strategy for specific projects
- Research and develop online customer requirements
- Develop working prototypes that create exceptional customer experiences
- Collaborate closely with in-house creative, usability, marketing, technical and underwriting teams
- Ensure work is delivered on time to a high level of quality within an Agile process
You will also be expected to contribute to on-going website maintenance and development, making sure we lead the field in everything we do.
Skills
- Excellent interaction design skills (creation of site concepts, information architecture, site maps, wireframe prototypes, etc.)
- Experience of user research methods (conceptual enquiry, stakeholder interviews, usability tests, etc.)
- Data gathering and analysis of user behavior
- Highly IT literate with a good understanding of website development and infrastructure
- Project management, preferably within an Agile environment
- Ability to work pro-actively, both independently and within a team
Additional Skills
- A good undergraduate or postgraduate degree in a relevant subject (Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Ergonomics, Design, etc.)
- Understanding and experience of multivariate testing
- Feasibility and business case development
- Accessibility
- Web analytics skills
- Knowledge of the DDA (Disability Discrimination Act) and WAI (Web Accessibility Initiative).
