A Windows System Administrator is sought by our client, a rapidly expanding software solutions business that has built a fantastic reputation supplying some of the most robust and innovative software and infrastructure solutions into the Criminal Justice field and private sectors. As a Windows System Administrator, your key objective will be to act as a technical administrator for the company's entire internal IT system and infrastructure. Additionally your core responsibilities will include:
*Being responsible for the technical aspects of all new technology solutions for internal use
*Technical design activities to implement these technology solutions
*Undertake server builds, patching operating systems and configuring switches and SAN's as required
*Evaluating new and emerging tools and technologies to assess their suitability for new internal environments
It is anticipated that in order to be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate:
*Minimum 3 years working in a structured Development environment
*Good understanding of testing requirements
*Technical knowledge including Microsoft Server (2000-current), Exchange, SQL/Oracle Database, Linux, Networking and Security.
*Ability to apply technical innovation to provide solutions to business problems
*Excellent interpersonal and time management skills
Additionally if you are a VMWare Certified Professional or MCSE qualified it would be beneficial although by no means essential.
