Workforce Development Officer
and Vocational Qualification Assistant

Surrey, South East

Contract now until end of March 2010 maybe extended

£13.00 to £15.10 per hour PAYE or Limited



We are looking for a versatile HR professional who can work within two different areas of the HR arena. This contract role is split into two roles one of a Workforce Development Officer and the other as a Vocational Qualification Assistant. The main job functions are as follows:-

WorkForce Development Officer

Under the guidance and direction of the Workforce Development Manager, support the training and development programme for the Private, Voluntary and Independent (PVI) sector, and related project work (currently the National Minimum Data Set implementation project and two Skills for Care funded projects).

Vocational Qualification Assistant
Under the guidance and direction of the Education & Development Consultant, to support the vocational development programme for staff in Bands 1 - 4 including related work-streams and projects.

To support other activity within vocational development, including advice to managers, staff and other partners on NVQ matters and development issues. Contribute to relevant policies and procedures and develop and / or commission resources for staff undertaking vocational development.

Under the guidance of the E & D Consultant, to support the growth of NVQ and vocational activity within the PCT, including monitoring and review of these.

Candidates will need to show experience within the training and development sector of HR and have the ability to multi task, with excellent communication skills.
