Our client provides e-learning services to businesses across all
industry sectors, offering their customers a one-stop development and hosting
solution. They now seek to recruit an e-Learning Systems Developer to join their
team.
This is a permanent vacancy to be based in Milton Keynes, although there may be an option to work
from home some of the time. Self employed applicants are preferred, although an
employed basis will be considered.
Working under the direction of the
Lead Consultant, the e-Learning Systems Developer will set up and configure LAMP
servers, LMS software (Moodle) and in addition be tasked with the development of
reports and other custom modules of the LMS, such as bespoke registration
processes.
To be considered for this position, the e-Learning Systems
Developer must have commercial experience in either web development or
e-Learning systems development.
You will also require the following key
skills and attributes:
- Skills in scripting languages such as PHP, CSS,
Dreamweaver, Javascript, Coldfusion and/or Flash
- LAMP skills (i.e., Linux,
Apache and MySQL or other databases)
- Degree/Diploma-level qualification in
web development or a related discipline
A proven commercial background
in web development or e-Learning systems development would be a distinct
advantage, as would prior knowledge and experience of Learning Management
Systems especially Moodle.
