An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic eLearning Designer / Instructional Designer to join our client, a leading fire and security industry organisation.
This is the ideal role for an experienced eLearning Designer with creative flair, to join a growing organisation with exposure to key business facing projects.
In this role you will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of eLearning and blended learning solutions across the business. This will involve supporting the transformation of processes, systems and standardised ways of working and classroom-based training into web-based learning solutions. Occasional travel to other company sites will be required.
Working within the Learning and Development team, as an eLearning Designer / Instructional Designer your role will include:
- Creating training proposals based on the scope of need, design and development tasks
- Using existing training design theory to create storyboards, scripts and course content
- Designing and implementing agreed solutions
- Conducting QA and user acceptance testing on training materials
- Reviewing existing materials and resources for adding updates, new elements of functionality etc
- Researching, evaluating and recommending solutions to improve product functionality and impact
To be considered for this position you must have:
- Commercial eLearning development or eLearning design experience using SCORM and Flash
- A degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline such as IT, multimedia/graphic/eLearning design
As the eLearning Designer / Instructional Designer, you should also have a good level of literacy, an enthusiasm for online learning, and excellent communication and negotiation skills. You will also need to demonstrate an understanding of transferring classroom based training to online solutions.
