Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Engineer x3

Our client is a leading system house who deals within the secure communications sector covering, infrastructure, mission systems, global secure networks and public sector communication platforms

Due to continued expansion they currently have an excellent opportunity for an ILS Engineer who will be required to design and implement support systems solutions across lines of business whilst being responsible for the ILS management of contracted programs.

Key responsibilities for the ILS Engineer will include:

·The design and implementation of support systems solutions for projects based on the required Logistic Support Analysis requirements

·Implementation of Availability Reliability & Maintainability (AR&M) engineering to influence the engineering system design to meet the AR&M requirements

·The preparation and delivery of all commercial and military bid documentation in response to requests from Service Architects detailing the support system solutions.

·Develop the support cost models for individual projects up to Technical Transfer.

·Develop support work packages for individual projects up to Technical Transfer.

·Management and the implementation of, Support programmes from contract award through to the in-service delivery phase.

·Liaison with the ILS and Service design managers to ensure that the design and recommended support systems solutions are achievable.

·Maintaining close liaison and excellent working relationships with the customer.

·Adapting the principles of DEF-STAN 00-60, 00-40 and other associated Military standards to support military projects (as required).

The successful ILS Engineer will ideally be educated to HNC/HND/ C&G in telecommunications, have experience within a Defence/Aerospace/Communications environment and an in depth knowledge of ILS Disciplines and processes
