Qualifications: Ideally an MSc in Geotechnical Engineering
Experience: 2-3 years experience in the public or private sector
My client is one of Britain’s premier multi-disciplinary engineering and environmental consultancies. They were established in 1952 and now have over 2000 staff worldwide. They cover the full range of engineering disciplines including civil and transport, environmental consultancy, mechanical and electrical, sustainable energy and waste management. They have offices in Australia, Belgium, China, and Dubai to name a few.
Duties:
•Design of geotechnical solutions
•Retaining wall design
•Earthworks
•Foundation design
•Compilation of factual and interpretive reports
•SI design
•Training and mentoring of less experienced staff
Typical projects
Their projects range from small town shopping centres to some of the most prestigious building projects in the UK. For example, they were involved in the redevelopment of the bullring shopping centre in Birmingham city centre.
