Our client is looking to recruit a water graduate with a firm committment to building a career within the water consultancy sector. You will be actively encouraged to develop a broad range of consultancy skills and progress quickly to hydrology consultant status. A driving licence is an essential requirement for this position due to the nature of the role (i.e. site visits). Apply now for more information!!
Qualifications – BSc Civil Engineering / Geography or similar water related discipline. This should be followed by an MSc Hydrology / Water Management / Water Resources (or similar discipline)
Experience - Graduate level vacancy. Any post graduate experience would be an advantage.
Company - International Environmental and Engineering Consultancy
Staff - 10 UK offices
Duties:
• Flood risk assessments
• Strategic flood risk assessments
• Hydrological modelling
• Project management of small projects
• Client and local authority liaison
• Hydraulic modelling
• Use of packages including HECRAS, MIKE11 and ISIS
• Contributing towards drainage design
• River catchment planning and management
Typical Projects:
Assisting the project manager on a range of multidisciplinary projects, providing a hydrological input. Clients include water companies, developers and local government.
