This represents an excellent opportunity to join a large multidisciplianry consultancy which undetakes projects on a national and international scale. If you are a hard working, diligent individual then you will have the opportunity to rise through the ranks, more so than other consultancies. Due to the multidisciplinary nature of the office you will also be given the opportunity to work in other fields such as contaminated land and geotechnics.
Description: Qualifications – MSc Water Management / Hydrology / Geography (similar water related discipline). This would have been proceeded by as BSc Geography or earth science/water science discipline.
Experience - MSc Graduate Level. Ideally you will have post graduate experience (this can be a voluntary placement)
Company - International multidisciplinary consultancy
Staff - 25 UK offices
Duties:
• Flood risk assessments
• Strategic flood risk assessments
• EIA and hydro-ecology
• Desk studies
• Created wetland management
• Groundwater investigations
• Client and local authority liaison
• Onsite investigations
• Use of computer modelling packages (HECRAS, MIKE11 etc)
• Providing direct assistance to project manager
• Project management
Typical Projects:
Working on a diverse range of multidisciplinary projects providing the water input under the guidance of the Technical Director. You will be expected to manage your own workload and think outside the box with regards to solutions and design
