A superb opportunity for a MSc graduate water scientist to join a world leading consultancy with an office in Leeds. Ideally you will have post graduate experience in the field of water resources and water pollution and this can be from either the public or the private sector. Qualifications – A first degree in Environmental Science / Geography or another water related discipline. This ideally will be coupled with an MSc which is strongly related to water resources and water quality (e.g. Water Management / Hydrology)
Experience - Working knowledge of the regulatory processes in England and Wales with regards to water resources and pollution.
Salary - £18-23k (depending on experience and qualifications)
Company - Multidisciplinary International Consultancy
Staff - 0ver 30 UK offices
Duties:
• Aquatic environmental impact assessments
• Assisting with GIS
• Water Quality impact assessments
• Pollution surveys/investigations
• Pollution prevention audits
• Catchment management (Rivers)
• Data analysis and detailed reports
• Collection of data in the field
• Client liaison
• Liaison with the Environment Agency and regulatory bodies
Typical Projects:
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team on the delivery of water industry contacts. You will be providing direct assistance to the technical project manager.
