Job DescriptionSEA FREIGHT - EXPORT CO-ORDINATOR - FREIGHT FORWARDER MANAGER
Location: Manchester area
Salary: Up to £28,000
Our client is one of the world's largest global logistics providers committed to offering their customers increased efficiency and reduced transit times providing logistics solutions in freight forwarding, distribution and transportation management. They are currently seeking to employ an Ocean Export/Import Manager for their busy Cheshire office.
Role of the Senior Sea Frieght Export/Import Manager
Prepare quote from information provided by customer
Check customer SOP where applicable
Send quote to customer for approval/acceptance
Request shipping instructions verbally, then confirmed in writing
Raise job file and complete fully
Undertake credit check, where applicable (FOB/Pre-Paid)
Issue collection instructions to transport department internal or external as appropriate
Book shipment either directly with shipping line/TIR operator or with gateway
Advise shipping line/TIR operator or gateway of any special customs requirements and prepare relevant documentation
Check status/receipt of cargo
Complete bill of lading / CMR instructions
Pre- Alert to shipper/customer after vessel/trailer departure
Prepare documentation
Prepare NES Customs Entries
Be able to complete ASM Entries for USA Exports
Bill of lading
CMR
Invoice
Cert of shipment
Insurance Certificate
Certificate of origin
Pre-alert overseas office
Prepare Customs entry for export and submit to Customs & Excise within 14 days of sailing
Process customer invoice queries within authority level
Refer to higher authority in accordance with Policy
Identify opportunities to improve process and efficiency and share opportunities with the team
In return the company offer a very competitive salary of up to £28,000 pa, depending on experience
