Our client is the leading multidisciplinary consultancy operating within the UK sector so this represents a marvellous opportunity for an ambitious hydrologist looking to take a massive step forward with their career. You will need to have some post graduate experience within the hydrology field, backed up by superb academics.
Description: Qualifications –MSc Water Management / Hydrology (similar water discipline). This should be backed up by a BSc in an earth science or civil engineering discipline.
Experience - 6 months – 1 year within a consultancy setting (or a postgraduate placement)
Company - Global Environmental Engineering Consultancy
Staff - 22 UK offices
Duties:
• Working knowledge of hydraulic modelling (HEC-RAS and ISIS)
• Working knowledge of flood risk assessments
• Knowledge of drainage design and GIS
• Undertaking environmental impact assessments to determine flooding impacts
• Contributing to flood risk and flood consequence assessments
• Project management
• Technical reports
• Presentations to clients
• Mapped outputs and engineering designs
• Hydrological and hydraulic modelling
• Catchment flood management
Typical Projects:
Working within a multidisciplinary office on both infrastructure an non infrastructure projects across the South Wales region. Clients include local government, private developers and public sector organisations.
