| Description: |
An an experienced hydrogeologist you will be managing landfill/contaminated land/quarrying/development projects across the northwest region, providing expertise in the areas of hydrogeological risk assessments and groundwater modelling. You will be provided challenging work and be given the opportunity to rise quickly within the organisation.
Qualifications – BSc Geology or an earth science discipline. Ideally an MSc Hydrogeology or an MSc strongly related to this discipline.
Experience - 3 – 5 years experience (specifically of groundwater modelling)
Company - Specialist Engineering Consultancy and Contractor
Staff - 35
Duties:
• Groundwater modelling
• Project management
• Technical and interpretative report writing
• Providing input to geoenvironmental investigations
• Groundwater and surface water monitoring and sampling
• Geological drilling supervision (rotary percussion drilling, cable percussion drilling etc)
• Preliminary geotechnical site investigations
• desk studies and detailed site walkovers
• Assisting with business development and developing relationships with existing clients
• Overseeing contractors onsite
• Client, local authority and regulatory body liaison
• Hydrogeological risk assessments
• Project management of work allocated by Operations Manager
Typical Projects:
Working within a multidisciplinary engineering team of engineers on a variety of projects across the North West, ranging from property development through to infrastructure works (road, rail, pipelines etc)
