Our client is looking for an ambitious earth sciences graduate to join is landfill engineering division. This challenging role will require you to be based on landfill sites most weeks, overseeing contractor activities by ensuring they work to the CQA plan. This is an urgent requirement so apply now to be considered!! A full UK driving licence is essential for this role.
Qualifications – BSc Geology / Earth Science / Geological Hazards / Environmental Engineering (similar discipline). A full UK driving licence.
Experience - None required, although a knowledge of landfill engineering would be advantageous.
Company - International Multidisciplinary Consultancy.
Staff - 15 UK offices
Duties:
• CQA Plan Preparation (including submission to the Environment Agency)
• Overseeing landfill contraction
• Liaison with contractors and local authorities
• Ensuring conformance testing is in accordance with the CQA Plan
• Daily record keeping
• Contract and tender preparation
• Project management
• Desk studies prior to site work (geological history, groundwater flows etc)
• Post construction analysis and final report writing
Typical Projects:
Overseeing the construction of landfill sites across southern UK. You will be reporting directly to the Technical Director and be working onsite Monday through to Friday, with occasional desk studies in the Buckinghamshire office.
