My client in Ilkley is seeking an experienced Senior Business Travel Consultant.
Main duties/responsibilities
" Handling of all aspects of Business travel requirements on behalf of existing and potential clients.
" Working to ISO9001: 2000 procedures at all times.
" Maximising sales and earnings.
" Assisting the manager in running the branch
Handling business travel requirements
This will include but will not be limited to:
" The ability to efficiently manage requests for all travel types e.g. worldwide air travel, rail, ferry, car rental, hotel, airport parking, insurance, meetings rooms and conferences through from enquiry to ticketing/invoicing.
" Airfare quotations for all types of itinerary e.g. UK domestic, European and long haul, ticketing and manual fare builds, including multi-sector itineraries.
" Thorough knowledge of the full product range is required at all times, including contract fares (Focus4Fares), published airfares, CAT35 fares and rail routes and fares.
" Provide advice and alternative cost saving suggestions to existing and potential customers.
" Provide a service to Leisure departments for the sale of contract fares (Focus4Fares).
Working with ISO9001: 2000 procedures
This will include but will not be limited to:
" Working in line with all ISO 9001: 2000 procedures at all times.
" Correct completion of all ISO documentation.
" Maintaining the very highest level of customer service at all times.
Maximising sales & earnings
" Actively encourage customers to book all business travel requirements and promote all the services we offer.
" Maximisation of sales through the sale of ancillary products wherever possible.
" Maximisation of earnings through the sale of preferred suppliers, high earners and contract fares (Focus4Fares).
Assist with the running of the branch
" Assist with any BSP, rail return or accounts queries. This includes accounts queries from customers or HQ.
" Be aware of branch/own individual performance and budgets at all times.
" Be prepared to be named as the main contact for any business travel customer and have the ability to manage any requirements they might have.
General
" Provision of sales leads for the sales manager.
Specific qualifications/skills required/preferred
A solid background in the business travel industry.
Qualified to a least BA fares & ticketing level 2 or have the knowledge to work to this level.
Positive attitude.
Self-motivation essential.
GDS experience is essential and Galileo experience is preferred.
Experience of dealing with rail Quality travel is essential.
Flexibility is a must; there might be a requirement to cover other branches from time-to-time.
Excellent communicator.
The salary will be upto £17,000 depending on experience
Working hours will be Monday - Friday, 0830 - 1700 or 0900 - 1730
20 days holiday rising to 25 days after 5 years service
Compant pension scheme available after 1 yrs service
Performance related bonus scheme (based on branch performance)
