They are currently recruiting for a Geotechnical Engineer to join their expanding team based in Nottingham. The successful applicant in addition to a BSc must have an MSc in a relevant subject such as Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology. Several years work experience in a similar role is essential for this position. Your salary will be highly competitive and in line with your experience.
Qualification - MSc BSc Civil Engineering, Soil Mechanics, Geotechnical Engineering
Experience - 2 - 5 Years
Company -Environmental Consultancy
Duties
- To project manage geotechnical investigations, this will involve planning for the process and at times negotiating for tenders
- Collecting a range of data on a number of different Geotechnical factors relating to each development
- Trial pitting, foundation design, earthworks design
- Interpretation of Geotechnical drawings and data
- Supervising other site workers
- Management of budget for assigned projects
- Carrying out Geotechnical design across a range of areas relating to each specific development
Typical projects
The projects that you will work on will be based around the Midlands although travel to other areas of the UK will be required. The sectors that the client works within are residential and commercial developments, Industrial projects and projects within the defense industry.
