Job Description :  Utilities Project Manager

Our client, a global construction and management consultancy business providing bespoke construction consultancy, programme and project management, cost management and management consultancy services currently requires a senior project manager in Dublin for a major infrastructure concession.

The scheme is at the centre of the Irish Government's €34 Billion 10 year investment Strategy, Transport 21 and is a mixed underground and over ground railway between Dublin City Centre and the northern suburb of Swords, via Dublin Airport.

Our client requires a senior project manager for several utilities diversion packages in congested road locations including surface and foul drainage, water mains and gas network and distribution pipes within restricted sites with pre-planning and liaison with utility providers and local authorities to avoid disruption to local business and residents.

You will advise the client at a strategic level at project conception on the different approaches available and help the client establish the overall success criteria for the project.

You will also help the client plan for and manage on an ongoing basis on quality, health and safety and environmental issues.

Integral to your role is liaising with the client to set the project plan and working within the project governance and processes throughout the duration of the project.

As an experienced utilities project manager you will advise upon procurement of resources, manage the change control process, monitor and advise upon project finances, manage the flow of project information between the team and the client through regular meetings and written communications and ensure the production of formal project progress and other reports to satisfy the client.

You will have at least 5 years project management experience within the utilities sector and ideally be chartered either MRICS, MCIOB or APM.
