Senior Project Surveyor / Quantity Surveyor Public Sector Team
Our client, an International Property Consultancy currently requires a senior quantity surveyor to work on high profile public sector projects.
These principally cover homeland security, courts, administration, blue light services and defence sub-sectors.For the right candidate, there is the opportunity of progression to Associate and to take a more active role in managing our clients overall public sector offering.
Your role as senior project surveyor will be to deliver procurement and cost management services on behalf of the public services team.Part of the challenge will be to adapt to delivering against innovative and varied procurement routes, including programmes of work, PPP contracts including services and goods supply.
The role will include helping to coordinate and manage the input from other junior members of staff and provide support to the Project Associate and Partner.
As the senior project surveyor you will aim to achieve the highest standards of professional competence and to demonstrate this ability in all dealings with clients and professional contacts, reinforcing the profile of the our client at all levels.
You will also assist in the coaching and appraising of team members of staff and act as a supervisor for current graduates and work with them to achieving competences for the APC.
You will have at least 2 years plus chartered (MRICS/MCIOB) status or up to 7 years equivalent relevant cost management experience. Ideally, previous experience shall have been gained within a consultancy environment.
It is not a requirement to have worked on public sector projects previously but you must possess the necessary skills to manage a small team in time and proactively deliver our procurement and cost management service.
