The Opportunity
Rowan currently seeks high calibre graduates to significantly contribute to our continued, impressive growth and drive the business forward.
You will initially be part of the buying team, which is at the very centre of our business. You will focus on developing relationships with blue chip manufacturers & then buying from them across a wide range of product lines from predominantly within Europe
Your key responsibilities will be as follows:
- Proactively develop links, contacts and relationships within FMCG organisations, promoting the service Rowan International can deliver
- Then buy products from those brand manufacturers, across a wide range of product lines, at the right price to maximise margins
- Develop market expertise
- Account P&L
To succeed in this role you will need to have:
- Powerful interpersonal skills to develop good relationships
- Clear and persuasive written & verbal communications skills
- Business acumen and entrepreneurial approach to spot the opportunities
- Effective negotiation skills to ensure good profit margins
- Strong planning & organising capabilities to successfully multi-task
- A likeable personality
It is preferred, but not essential, that candidates have strong language skills to a business level, in particular, Spanish, French or German.
