Operations Manager

Our client are a well established mechanical services company who are part of a medium sized M&E Contractor, making up a Group of company's. They are currently recruiting a key appointment role for an Operations Manager which is a designate Director position.

The projects range from small commercial to large M&E combined projects which are executed by the special projects department and mainline projects divison.
The services the company offer include all forms of heating, ventilation, comfort cooling, air conditioning, piped services and plumbing.

The suitable candidate will be experienced in the provision of Building Services, a professionally qualified Senior Manager. He/She will have strong commercial acumen, leading and developing the workforce and building strategic relationships with Key Clients, prospects and partner Organisations. They will have demonstrable working experience managing projects between £70,000 - £600,000.

They will oversee the management and all operational aspects of all Company activities, being accountable to the Directors for its performance, including Company Sales, Estimating, Contracting, Commercial activities, targets and their achievement.
Main duties will be to lead the development of a successful commercial Business through personal endeavour and action, as well as taking full responsibility for all Staff and the activities they are assigned, whilst overseeing career development, training and motivation. You will have regular team meetings to review the effectiveness of the Team and seek opportunities to delegate, give responsibility and empower people. The successful candidate will have heavy weight contracting experience.
