| Description: |
My client is a multidisciplinary construction and engineering contractor. They have 6 offices in the UK and their clients consist of utility, rail and energy companies as well as city councils. They are looking for a graduate to train up focusing specifically on site investigation to begin with.
Qualifications: a BSc in geology, earth sciences or equivalent with evidence of site investigation experience. A further qualification in geotechnical engineering, engineering geology or similar would be an added benefit.
Experience: experience in site investigation would be ideal
Duties
Geotechnical design of foundations and retaining walls
Slope stability
Site investigation including window sampling and borehole drilling
Technical report writing
Working as part of a team
Typical projects
Projects will be varied, from large to small projects covering large commercial developments to private housing projects. Recent projects they have been involved in have been the A379 Exeter canal bridge refurbishment.
