Qualifications - BSc Geology or Engineering Geology and Geotechnics (ideally with a relevant MSc, but not essential)
Experience - 2-5 years
Company - Specialist Geotechnical/Geoenvironmental Engineering Consultancy
Staff - 15 working from a multidisciplinary office in London
Duties:
- Desk studies
- Geotechnical hazard assessments
- Feasibility appraisals
- Scoping of site investigations
- Field inspections and pre-acquisition studies
- Conventional shell and auger drilling
- Window sampling and dynamic probing
- Interpretative reporting
- Client and local authority liaison
- JCB trial pitting
- De-mountable shell and auger drilling
- Continuous flight auger drilling
- Foundation excavations
Typical Projects:
You will have an important role to play within this specialist, highly regarded consultancy. Clients include local NHS Trusts, local authorities, housing associations and major construction companies. The work will be varied and challenging, plus you will be given the opportunity to rise swiftly within the organisation to Project Manager level and beyond.
