Responsibilities:
To work alongside the Branch Manager to run a Birthdays shop within
guidelines provided by the Company with the aim of achieving
high levels of profit, standards and customer service.
§To instruct employees to ensure that the branch trades to maximum effect within Company guidelines.
§To assist the Manager to recruit, train and motivate and develop branch staff to enable them to run the branch in your absence.
§To ensure that staff are fully briefed and have the ability to carry out the tasks required of them, including the communication of instructions given by H.O. and Area Management.
§To work with the Manager to carry out all administration in line with Company procedures.
§To assist the Manager to ordergoods as required and indicated by the stock control systems, so as to offer for sales the full range of goods carried by the Company with stock levels maintained as indicated by your Area Sales Manager.
§To assist the Manager with sock deliveries, with maintaining stock in the branch in an organised manner and ensuring the Company stocktaking is carried out to Company requirements (normally 2 per annum).
§To ensure that all company policies and procedures are adhered to and that all employees understand these and the implications of non-compliance.
§To be familiar with and comply with instructions given through communication from H.O. in the form of the Procedures Manual, Talking Cards and other forms of communication.
§To notify your Manager of the branch sales and other information relating to the branch as requested.
§To ensure that branch expenses are kept to a minimum whilst maintaining standards.
§To assist your Manager to ensure that sales targets are achieved whilst working within the given wage budgets as dictated by your Area Sales Manager.
§To comply with health and safety legislation with regard to self, employees and customers of Birthdays.
§To maintain the branch to the Company standards therefore providing a clean, tidy, safe and pleasant environment for our customers to shop.
