Position:Test Analyst
This role provides an opportunity to join an established team to support the verification of new and existing software projects.
You will be required to undertake appropriate planning, preparation and execution duties as defined by the QA Manager to industry standards. As part of those duties you will be expected to develop and execute manual tests as well as automated tests using QuickTest Professional. Therefore knowledge of VBScript and test automation using the expert view are essential. Please do not apply if you have only used playback and record methodologies
This roles requires interaction with multiple business functions such as business sponsors and development therefore excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Graduate of leading university with 2:1 or greater science or computer-related degree
- ISEB foundation level certification in Software Testing
- Proven commercial experience in a similar position, working with web technologies
- Self starter, methodical and analytical approach to testing with an attention to detail
- Commercial experience in black box testing web and java applications in multiple technical environments
- Experience automating Java and web applications with QuickTest Professional in the expert view.
- Knowledge and use of VBScript, SQL
Desirable but not essential Skills and Experience
- ISEB Practitioner or Intermediate certification in Software Testing
- Experience in testing Business Process Management tools such as Lombardi TeamWorks
- Non-functional testing experience with tools such as LoadRunner and JMeter
- Java, J2EE, Perl, HTML, XML

Compensation
Commensurate with experience, up to £40k including fantastic benefits package including free private health.
