Description:

Due to expansion this central Bristol client is seeking to recruit a Management Accounts Manager.

The Management Accounts Manager will be responsible for supervising 2-3 (potentially 10-15 staff) teams of management accountants and their supervisors. Specific duties will include:

Managing the production of the management accounts for a portfolio of international clients ensuring these clients receive a high level of service.

-Ensuring your teams produce the management accounts accurately and within specified timeframes.

-Providing assistance to the Management Accounts Supervisors regarding technical matters

-Supervising Qualified and indirectly non qualified members of staff, liaising with HR regarding training, appraisals and recruitment.

-Attend conference calls and meetings with local and international clients

-Reviewing the management accounts on a quarterly basis

-Assist with service function for the clients

    1. Cash management
    2. Payroll and reporting
    3. Monthly reporting and accounts
    4. Conference calls and meetings with local and international clients.
    5. Assist clients with registration, set up and HR changes
    6. Any other G&A Ad-Hoc work as required
    7. Compliance with internal procedures
  • Ensure open communication channels with team members through individual meetings and involvement within the team structure
  • To cover for any absence of Key supervisory personnel
  • Communicate with Head of Department regarding procedural and operational issues in need of improvement. Also, to discuss succession planning, promotions, performance management, etc
  • Assist with internal audit programs to ensure management account operate effectively and with technical quality and competence

Experience required

  • Financial / Accountancy Degree (or equivalent)
  • 5+ years experience, in a financial environment
  • ACCA/CIMA Qualified or Finalist
  • Excellent communication and use of the English language.
  • Good organisational and multi-tasking skills
  • Large team management experience
