To personally contribute and encourage shift team staff to seek continual improvement in all associated processes.
A stakeholder for the site procedural review framework which targets compliance into the day-to-day workteams.
2.Business Planning;
A stakeholder with a proactive approach to areas within responsibilities, ie fuel procurement, logistics to site and fuel stocks. Power generation and understanding of cost implications during working periods. Ash handling requirements and sales markets with the knowledge of the effects to the business.
To have financial responsibilities associated to production costs and delegated areas during site outages.
3.Resources Management;
A stakeholder in ensuring shift teams are competent technically and on a behavioural level, that teams are adequately supported, available, suitably organised and supervised where necessary.
4.Communicating and Networking;
An excellent communicator who uses these skills to contribute to good working relationships, ensuring sufficient awareness and understanding of the shift team
5.Leadership;
Motivate and enthuse all members of the shift team to contribute to a positive, purposeful climate, suitable for the achievement of site, workteam and individual targets and goals. Provide strong management giving concise delegation and responsibility where needed.
6.Performance;
Identify and achieve key indicators of success, establish improvement plans and targets for the shift team. To be a key performer through the risk management driven key performance process, Key Performance Indicators

Key success indicators include and are not limited to;
§Satisfied customer(s) – Direct; Production Manager, Station Manager, Fuel Manager
§Satisfied customer(s) – In-Direct; Engineering Directors, SHE Manager, HR Manager, Commercial Manager, Finance & Legal Managers.
§Excellent station performance in all aspects of the risk adverse led key performance process of SHE, People, Engineering, Finance, Production and Risk Management.
§Specified accreditations, demonstrable achievement and continual improvement – ISO 14001 & 18001.

§The full implementation, adoption and continual improvement of the SHE Management System. Including the Safe System of Work.

§Complete the Personal Development Review process with shift team operators ensuring their potential can be recognised and developed within the appraisal system. A key requirement for the training needs of the Production Operators in the use of the DCS will be imperative for the stability of the stations operation.

§Full implementation and the continued improvement of the Logihold Computerised Maintenance Management System. Delivering production operation shift team engagement in its use, recording of all operations and ‘frontline maintenance’ activities (work), spares/stock management, all site procurement activity, plant and component identification, outage management and risk assessment and method statement database and links to the electronic Safety Document Management System.

§Full implementation of the site Emergency Plan which embraces the site business continuity requirements and thus mitigates risks.

§To contribute with engaging shift team staff into the ‘Added Value’ initiative programme.

§To provide engineering/maintenance support where identified by the Production and/or Power Plant Manager.
