LABORATORY TECHNICIAN
Our Evesham based Client is currently recruiting for a Laboratory Technician in a field of Chemistry and Biochemistry within food industry. We are looking for Analytical Chemists to work in a small team testing food samples for their nutritional composition for food labeling purposes. The position will mainly involve the preparation and analysis of foods ready for reporting to the client. Full training will be provided and you will work to accredited standards.
LABORATORY TECHNICIAN role will involve:
- A range of tests for nutritional labelling of foods;
- Operating and maintaining automated food testing equipment;
- Preparation of data for inclusion in reports;
- Preparation of samples for analysis
Key skills for LABORATORY TECHNICIAN role:
- Have an organised and methodical approach to work and be able to follow prescribed methods and document the results;
- Demonstrate good PC skills with knowledge of Word and Excel
- Practically minded with an aptitude for team working
- A keen interest in Food Science and it's application in the food industry.
Qualifications and Experience for LABORATORY TECHNICIAN role:
- Ideally educated to A level or minimum of 4 GCSE's Grade C or above including Mathematics and Science subject;
- Laboratory experience desirable but not essential;
- Candidates with a degree qualification will be also considered

SALARY: Up to £16.500per annum + BENEFITS
