Civil Engineer / Land Surveyor with setting out experience is required for various sites within the Hampshire region. This is a contract vacancy but would be a long term assignment and an excellent opportunity for long term job security.
- The ideal candidate would be an experienced Engineer with a minimum of 3 years relevant UK experience in Groundworks and Infrastructure, familiar with the latest surveying equipment, especially the GPS side. Able to read drawings and explain the information in layman's terms, good record keeping skills, Technical Engineering ability and being able to get on with people will make this your role. CSCS certification is essential.
- The Civil Engineering division of the company has worked and is currently working on some of the most high profile mixed use sites in the South East. The business specialises in commercial, infrastructure works and groundworks. Typical contract values range from £0.5m to £15m. Providing the client with full engineering solutions and specific engineering packages, depending on the nature of the development, a role of Principal Contractor or Sub Contractor is fulfilled.
- Clear communication skills, with the ability to pass on information to the labour force, a confident approach in dealing with the main contractor, resolving drawing and information queries, a good work ethic that will lead to solving problems with your colleagues are all attributes of the Engineer / Surveyor we seek.
- You will probably need to have had a minimum of 3 years setting out in field conditions, on large projects preferably for a contractor, be able to read and understand architectural, construction and services drawings and have good AutoCAD skills to be able to handle the role.
