Corporate Controller

Leading futures broker requires a Corporate Controller to support its’ developing business. Directly supporting the European FC and CFO you will take on a high profile position involving managing two direct reports (Interest Controller and Assistant Controller) and two dotted line reports: Regional Technical Accountant and Project Manager. The role will entail daily responsibility however there will be a greater emphasis on developing the role over time, requiring relevant challenge of the status quo. Reporting requirements will include Management Reporting (reviewing monthly results, generation of board commentary, and introduction of MI improvements) and Statutory Reporting: ensuring compliance with local GAAP, overseeing the year end audit and statutory reporting process, as well as getting heavily involved in quarterly reporting to New York. In addition you will be involved in SOX and project work. This will involve oversight and review of SOX controls and liaison with the New York SOX officer and a Big 4 consultancy regarding SOX review. Close liaison with the local Project Management Officer will be required.

A qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) you will have at least 5 years PQE. Possessing a proven financial services background (ideally brokerage) you will have solid SOX experience. Excellent numerical and analytical skills are expected as are first-class interpersonal skills allowing effective communication with all levels of the organisation and external parties.
