My client is a major player in the accountancy and financial services practice field who are experiencing significant business growth. We are recruiting for a Commercial Financial Controller level candidate who is diverse and proactive. Your main duty is to assist the GFD in managing all operational aspects of the Firm's financial management and controls. This is an exciting and challenging position which offers a diverse range of work and the opportunity to help drive forward key projects. You will need a proven record of delivering excellence to tight deadlines and be capable of managing conflicting priorities on a timely basis. This role would suit a qualified accountant with both practice and commercial experience and will require that you travel between the 3 main sites in the South West and be able to provide full support to each Finance function. Your key responsibilities will include Month end management reporting, annual budget process, statutory accounts and tax returns, liaison with auditors, partners and junior staff, budget and key targets reporting and analysis, Treasury functions and VAT return reports for the FSA etc You will also be required to support the Group Finance Director with special project work aligned to the expansion of the business. You will have previous man-management skills, boast strong communication and negotiation skills and demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with managers to set targets and monitor performance
